Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are the agreement between you and the business that sells on petpetal.shop: Pet Petal, 620 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352, US. They apply whenever you browse the site, personalise a piece or place an order, and they sit alongside the shipping, returns, refund and privacy pages linked below. We have tried to keep them readable. If something is unclear, email [email protected] before you order and we will explain. Nothing here takes away a consumer right that the law where you live says cannot be removed.
The agreement at a glance
- Seller: Pet Petal, 620 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352, US. Support by email only, with a reply within 24 hours on business days.
- We sell and ship only to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Shipping is free with no minimum; orders ship from the USA.
- Every piece is printed to order. Our pet designs are breed illustrations in watercolor, floral wreath or line art style, not copies of your photo.

- You can cancel or change an order within 24 hours, and return any item within 60 days of delivery, with return postage paid by us.
- Sales tax is not collected at checkout. Import duties depend on the destination country.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska.
1. Who can buy from Pet Petal
You may use the site and buy for yourself or as a gift for someone else. You need to be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian place the order with you. If you create an account, keep the password private and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. Orders can only be delivered to addresses in the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand; checkout will not accept other destinations, and we cannot forward parcels on to other countries.
2. What you are buying
2.1 Printed breed illustrations
Each design shows a breed, drawn in one of three styles: Watercolor Style, Floral Wreath Style or Line Art Style. You pick the breed from a list, and the illustration represents that breed in general. It is not a likeness of your own dog or cat and is not made from a photograph. Markings, colours and expressions that are unique to your pet will not appear unless the design already includes them. If you are hoping for an exact portrait of a particular animal, please email us before ordering so we can tell you honestly whether a piece will suit you.
2.2 Made to order
Nothing is waiting on a shelf. Your suncatcher, canvas print, ornament, memorial stone, mug or blanket is printed after you order. Processing takes 1–3 business days, and transit then takes 7–14 business days to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. These are estimates, not promised delivery dates, so for a birthday, a gotcha day or the first Christmas without a pet, please allow the full time.
2.3 Pictures and screens
Product images and the live preview are digital previews. Screens show colour differently, and a watercolor wash on a window suncatcher will look different in morning light than on a monitor. Sizes are given on each product page and in our size guide; please measure your wall or window before choosing. A 36 × 24 in canvas over a small loveseat can feel larger in the room than it looks online.
3. Personalisation is your text, printed as typed
Most pieces have a pet’s name field and an optional years field, year or tagline, plus selects for breed, flower, style or verse. These rules apply to everything entered in them:
- You are responsible for the text. Spelling, capitals, punctuation, dates and spacing are yours to check. “Mochi” and “Mocchi” are both real names, so we cannot guess which one you meant.
- We print exactly what you type. We do not correct spelling, change capital letters or reformat years. “Luna 2012 – 2026” is printed in that form.
- There is no proof. We do not send a mockup for approval. The live preview on the product page is the check, so look at it closely before adding to cart.
- Spotted a mistake? Email within 24 hours of placing the order and we can change it. Someone who typed “Mohci” and wrote to us the same afternoon had it corrected before printing.
- Keep it lawful and your own. Do not type brand names, team names, character names, slogans you do not own, or anything hateful, threatening or obscene. We may cancel and refund an order whose text breaks this rule. Our Intellectual Property Policy explains why.
Because returns cover every product, a piece with a typing mistake can still be sent back within 60 days of delivery under the Returns & Exchanges Policy. Checking the preview first simply saves you the wait.
4. Prices, payment and tax
Prices are those shown on the site when you place your order. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum. If a price is plainly wrong because of a technical error, we will contact you before shipping and either correct the order with your agreement or cancel it and refund what you paid.
You pay using one of the methods shown at checkout; our Payment Methods page explains how payment works. Payment details are entered with the payment provider, not stored by us.
Sales tax is not collected at checkout, and the total you see does not include it. Whether any tax applies to your purchase depends on where you live. For Canada, Australia and New Zealand, import duties or taxes depend on the destination country; please check your local rules before ordering a larger piece such as a canvas print or a fleece blanket, and email us if you would like to know more about a particular order.
5. How an order becomes a contract
When you place an order you are offering to buy those items. The contract starts when we send the order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if the payment cannot be verified, the address is outside the four countries we ship to, the personalisation text breaks section 3, or we suspect fraud. If one item in a mixed cart cannot be fulfilled, for example one of three ornaments, we tell you and refund that item rather than cancelling the rest without asking.
6. Delivery and responsibility in transit
Orders ship from the USA to the address you give at checkout. Please check it, especially when sending a gift straight to someone else, such as a teardrop suncatcher going to a friend in Halifax or a garden slate pack going to family in Auckland. We look after the parcel until it is delivered to that address. If something arrives damaged, email a photo and we will put it right. Full delivery details are in our Shipping & Delivery policy, and you can follow your order on the order tracking page.
6.1 Gifts and memorial pieces
Many orders are sympathy gifts. When you buy for someone else, you remain the customer under these terms: confirmation emails, shipping notices and any refund go to you, not the recipient. If the recipient would like to return or exchange a piece, they can ask you to contact us, or email us themselves with the order number, and we will treat the request kindly, at whatever pace suits them. Take your time; the 60-day return window runs from delivery, so nobody needs to decide straight away.
6.2 Several pets, several items
You can order several personalised pieces in one cart, for example three acrylic ornaments for three cats. Each line is a separate item with its own text, so please check every preview. Items from one order may arrive together or separately.
7. Changes, returns and refunds
| Situation | What applies | Where to read more |
|---|---|---|
| You want to change a name or cancel | Possible within 24 hours of placing the order | Cancel or Change an Order |
| You change your mind after delivery | Return any item, personalised ones included, within 60 days of delivery; we pay return postage | Returns & Exchanges |
| A piece arrives chipped or damaged | Email a photo of the damage and we arrange the fix | Refund Policy |
| You are waiting for money back | Refund within 7 days of receiving the return, to the original payment method or as store credit if you prefer | Refund Policy |
| You chose store credit | Store credit never expires | Refund Policy |
Those pages form part of these terms. If anything on them seems to conflict with this page, the wording more favourable to you applies.
8. Using the site fairly
Please do not try to break into the site, overload it, scrape it with bots, place orders in someone else’s name without permission, or use it for anything unlawful. Cloudflare security tools protect the site, and traffic that looks like an attack may be blocked. We may close an account that is used to commit fraud or harass our support inbox.
9. Our designs and your use of them
The breed illustrations, product photos, text and layout on the site belong to Pet Petal or are used with permission. Buying a piece lets you own and display that physical item, give it away or resell that single item; it does not give you the right to copy the illustration onto other products or upload it elsewhere. Details are in our Intellectual Property Policy, and copyright notices follow the process on our DMCA page.
10. Limits of our responsibility
We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will never be offline or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as a missed occasion because a parcel arrived later than the estimate, and our total responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer in the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
11. Governing law and sorting out problems
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, United States, without removing any protection that the consumer law of your own country or state gives you. If something goes wrong, please email us first; most issues, from a chipped ornament to a canvas that is too wide for the wall, are resolved by a calm exchange of emails. If we cannot agree, you may use any route open to you under the law that applies.
12. When these terms change
We may update this page when our products, services or the law change, and the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force on the day you placed an order apply to that order.
13. Questions about these terms
