Before you choose: every size on this page matches the size option you will see on the product page. All sizes are approximate. Measure the space first, whether that is a window pane, a stretch of wall or a corner of a desk, and pick the size that leaves a little breathing room around it. If a size turns out wrong at home, you can return it within 60 days of delivery with a free return label and choose another. Questions about a particular spot are welcome at [email protected].
How to measure before you order
A tape measure and a sheet of paper solve most sizing doubts. These four habits work for nearly everything we sell.
Measure the glass, not the frame
For a suncatcher, measure the single pane of glass where it will hang. Window frames, sills and curtain rails make a window look bigger than the clear area light actually passes through. A suncatcher looks best with some clear glass on every side, so the flowers are framed by light rather than pressed against the edges.
Try the paper template trick
Cut paper or flattened cardboard to the size you are considering and tape it where the piece will go. Leave it up for a day. Look at it from the doorway, from the sofa and at night. If you keep wanting it bigger or smaller, you have your answer before spending anything.
Use the two-thirds rule for wall art
Above a sofa, sideboard, bed or loveseat, art usually looks balanced when it spans roughly two-thirds of the width of the furniture below. Narrower pieces can look lost; wider pieces can crowd the wall. If one canvas is too narrow for the space, two smaller canvases side by side can also fill it nicely.
Think about the name
On personalised pieces, the pet name field takes up to 14 characters. A short name like “Bo” looks fine on any size. A long name sits more comfortably on a larger option, where the letters have more room. The live text preview on the product page shows you how your words fit before you order.
Mind the light
For suncatchers, think about when the sun reaches the window. A pane that gets strong morning light shows off a smaller piece beautifully, while a window that only gets soft afternoon light may need the larger size to make the colours noticeable from inside the room.

Shapes differ between products, so two 6 in suncatchers may not take up exactly the same area. A crescent moon reads lighter than a full wreath, and a teardrop is taller than it is wide. If you are deciding for a memorial teardrop with a name and years such as “Luna 2012 – 2026”, the 8 in gives longer wording a little more space.

Choosing between canvas sizes
Smaller portrait canvases suit shelves, bedside tables and gallery walls where they sit among photos. The middle sizes work as a single piece in a hallway or above a desk. The largest sizes are made for open walls above furniture. Before you choose a 36 × 24 in landscape canvas, try the paper template: one customer found it too wide for the wall above a loveseat and returned it for a smaller option, which our returns policy allows within 60 days of delivery.

On a full tree, the larger acrylic sizes stand out from a distance, while the smaller ones blend among other decorations. The glass heart is the most delicate size and suits a small tree, a window latch or a gift tag. If you are ordering ornaments for several pets, choosing the same size for each gives a matching set. For a slate pack shared between relatives, such as siblings in Auckland and Perth, remember that each order ships to one address, so a separate order per household is the easiest route. For a plaque stake in a planter, measure the pot opening; the smaller size usually suits containers, the larger one a garden bed.

A pillow insert of the same size as the cover gives a soft, relaxed look; a slightly larger insert from your own cupboard gives a fuller one. For a blanket, the 50 × 60 in option is the usual pick for draping over a sofa arm or wrapping up for a film.

Sizing a gift for someone else
Choosing a size for another person’s home is harder, because you cannot pull out a tape measure in their kitchen. A few quiet tricks help.
- Look at a recent photo of the room. Compare the window or wall with something of known size in the picture, such as a door or a standard chair, to estimate the space.
- Choose pieces that do not depend on exact space: an ornament, a mug, a magnet or a blanket fits almost any home.
- For a memorial gift, a smaller suncatcher or a ceramic ornament is easy to place wherever the person feels is right, and asks nothing of them.
- If you guessed wrong, the recipient can still use the 60-day return window. Ask them to let you know, and email us with the order number to arrange a free return label.
Deciding between two sizes
- When the piece will be seen from a distance, such as across a living room or from the garden path, go up a size.
- When it sits close to you, on a desk, a kitchen pane or a bedside table, the smaller option usually looks more in proportion.
- When it carries a name and years, lean toward the larger option so the wording stays easy to read.
- When it is a gift and you do not know the space, the middle option is the safest choice where there are three.
- When the paper template feels slightly too big, it usually is. Trust that first impression.
If a size does not work out
You can return any item within 60 days of delivery for any reason, personalised items included, and we pay the return postage with a free return label. Email us with your order number and the size you would like instead, or ask for a refund or store credit. Refunds are issued within 7 days of receiving your return.
